Morph is the process by which a Hero attempts to become a Lord. Failing to morph will cause you to lose some sublevels.
Here are some rules and guidelines:
1. You MUST be level 51, sublevel 500 or higher.
2. If you fail, you must reach your previous sublevel + 1 sublevel to attempt again. You will NOT get gains until you reach this point.
3. Generally speaking, the higher your sublevel, the better chance you have to succeed and morph.
4. Generally speaking, the higher your sublevel, the less levels you will lose when you fail your attempt. However, this is not always true. Sometimes a 51(544) player will lose 12 sublevels, and a 51(833) will lose 121 sublevels. That's random luck for you.

The final details are currently being discussed. The principle of the planned amendments are as follows: - morph will become available at Hero 300 - the chance of successfully morphing at Hero 300 will be approximately 20%, rising to 50% at Hero 500 and further to 100% at Hero 999 - should the morph be failed, there will no longer be a level loss penalty - instead all xp gained will be halved for a number of levels. The amount of levels of penalty will be approximately 50 sub-levels for a fail at Hero 300, but will reduce at higher sub-levels - on a successful early morph the character will be advanced to Hero 999 as atheist (that is no change). A small practice penalty will be deducted to compensate for the bypassed risk of stat-loss As mentioned above, we are still tweaking the particulars.
