IIRC manifest/embed along with perfect gemstones were originally imped with a different idea than how they exist today.  Perfect gemstones became less rare than intended, so many things were changed.  The level the spell is learned may be left over from the intentions of the original idea.  I have not heard of any hero recipes.  It is useful at lord though.  --Morgul 02:38, 4 May 2007 (EDT)

There are two lowmort recipes as far as I know.  Lurch's Adder (6/6 lvl 15ish one handed piercer), and Mistyblue's Boots Of Farstriding.  I think one of the reasons you don't see more lowmort/hero recipes is because it's difficult to give lowmorts & heroes access to perfect gemstones while keeping them valuable to lords.  A while back I suggested giving the stones levels, so you'd need lord lvl gems to make lord items, but the imms didn't seem to like that idea.  Waite 10:02, 4 May 2007 (EDT)

I'm a little underwhelmed about this spell. How many recipes are there? There is only one in the wiki and for a level 15 item at that. Also there is no information about perfect gemstones. Anyone have more information about this? Are there just tons of recipes out there and in a year and half I've just missed them? Or are perfect gemstones so hard to get it is not worth it? --Ylem 15:24, 3 May 2007 (EDT)

It's a lord thing. --Arcano 17:17, 3 May 2007 (EDT)

Really? That is odd as I have the spell with my mage at level 31. If this is a lord thing - seems like an odd spell to give a lowmort. --Ylem 21:11, 3 May 2007 (EDT)
