Talk:Tssasskkas Scales
If you still have the scales, Waite, there's a lich in a hidden tower in the section where the animated lord corpses are. The lich doesn't aggie (might be a safe room), and might be interested in the ticket. --Masamune 11:40, 29 January 2007 (CST)
You give tssasskkas scales to The lich. The lich says, 'There is more yet you must bring me.'
good thinking. I'll keep you posted if I figure it out. Waite 19:24, 29 January 2007 (CST)
Any news?
No flesh remains upon the lich's skeleton. The bones are a pristine white, similar to the walls of the tower. Twin points of blue light gaze from the orbits. The lich's heavily embroidered robes are cut in an ancient style, but still possess the original deep blue coloring.
Raising a bony hand, the lich welcomes everybody.
"Long have I waited here, watching realms and rulers come and go as the river of time flowed on. This I did in isolation, deep within the mountain now called Devil's Peak. Then one day, elemental water started rushing into my cavern, and my isolation was ended. The demon Tssasskkas claims this cavern as hers, leaving minions to harass me, but lairing elsewhere. She seeks the knowledge from my library, which cannot be. Many have come to my defense; some have succeeded in slowing Tssasskkas, many have fallen and now serve her. May you be amongst those who survive."
The skeleton goes still, and the twin lights fade slightly. It will speak no more at this time.
The only keyword i can get to work is "spirit t" so this is a safer port for getting into the lair. I don't see anything special going on in the room, but I'm not sure what the library is that this mob is talking about.
Any ideas?
p.s., it's also fullsafe

I've gathered a bit more information about this quest, but I still haven't completed it.
If you kill the Animated Corpse Of Annika you can loot a Third Eye from her corpse. This is another ticket. IIRC, the lich is interested in Tssasskkas' scales, and the lich's spirit is interested in the third eye. But they both give me the whole "there is more you must bring me" blurb. You've probably got a point about trying to find this guy's library.
Another oddity of this area is a room with ~15 low level "cave critters" in a blind room. To get there make your way past the rogue lore door and look for a path that heads south and down. I've tried leaving this blind room from every possible direction, but none of them seem to lead anywhere special.
I've heard that the prize for this quest is a 15 dr claw (no clue weapon type) but I haven't seen one in person nor met anyone who claims they know how to obtain it.

Still haven't figured it out yet, but I've found a few more clues form edescs in the lich's room.
Here's the room description:
The Tower-3rd floor [Exits: down] The stairway opens onto the top level of the tower. Great mirrors cover all the walls, stretching from the ceiling to the thickly carpeted floor. A circular table crafted from a dark wood sits in the center of the room, with a high-backed chair set inside the open center of the table. A soft glow fills the room, its source unseen. A plain wood chest rests next to the staircase Pinpoints of light gaze from the orbits of the seated skeleton. A faint glow marks the presence of the lich's spirit.
look mirror:
Each mirror is set within a spectacularly carved hardwood frame and secured to the tower wall. The images reflected in each mirror are not of the room, but of other places. The images flicker rapidly, giving little time to study any given scene. One mirror, framed in ironwood wrapped with ornate mithril wire, does not change, and remains focused on a blacksmith and his forge.
l blacksmith:
An ethereal voice sighs sadly, then the skeleton nods at the blacksmith. "Jaranan has served faithfully for a very long time. He does not know the passage of time, and is content to work at his forge, crafting blades of the highest quality. I still search for a way to free him, but have yet to succeed." Clad only in a leather apron and leather breeches, Jaranon has the build of one who has spent his life before the forge. While definitely human, he could be mistaken for a tall, beardless dwarf given his girth to height ratio. He effortless swings hammers that most could not lift, deftly bring beauty to raw ore. He seems to be nearing the completion of a very large sword, its exceptional blade lying across the top of anvil.
l blade:
The razor-sharp blade of the sword stretches for over 3 feet. The hilt has not been completed, and this is the only imperfection visible.
l hilt:
The hilt has no wrapping. There appears to be a place for an oval stone to be set. Full of pride but filled with sadness, the ethereal voice utters: "Jaranan's blades are the finest there are. Unfortunately, he lacks the materials to finish the hilts. Bring me what he needs and proof of Tssasskkas' demise, and I shall call upon the magic of the mirror."
So in light of all this, here's my theory:
- To get the sword, you need to bring these scales, some wrapping, and a stone to the lich.
- The lich's spirit probably wants two eyes, considering he says "there is more you must bring me" when I try to give him annika's third eye. I bet he'll give us either the wrapping or the stone when we give him some eyes.
Also, the chest in the room can only be opened by utilizing the break command. It's got a ruby, an emerald, and a sapphire in it.
I'll keep you all posted if I figure anything else out.
