ROG skills are are based on DEX, ASN skills are based on INT. The checks for backstab are sneakiness to avoid being detected, DEX to see if you land, DR/weapon/damage modifier/backstab modifier.

Mekrith 18:09, 19 December 2011 (CST): Both dex and int modify assassinate damage to an extent, but you're almost right for backstab. Stealth mod determines accuracy, not dex. Assassinate was changed by Devastant in 2004 or so to make dex/int relatively more important, it should be in news logs somewhere. The skills calculate the same for asn and rog.
