Category:Shard Areas
Shard realms come and go at the whim and will of the gods. As they are ephemeral, and items removed from them are also ephemeral in nature. Use them while you have them for they might not be around for long. Storing them in lockers will not circumvent this nature.
Unlocks
Today, Shard Areas require an Unlock process.
This involves Essence Lighting , which involves the elemental planes.
Once the essences are lit, visit the room next to the pool above thorn: recall, 2u, w.
There, you will learn of the unlocks you need to perform which unlocks the Shard Area that is available for the current Reset.
Each unlock also guarded by extra Realm Guardians.

Essence Lighting
To gain insight into what unlocks need to happen, as well as what shard realm is ultimately unlocked, you need to light all the essences.
Strategy for Airscape
General strategy: Air can be swarmy. Have caster portal to mob, en portal, kill fast, watch for folks being tagged and left behind by an aggro.

The mobs are portable everywhere on Air Proper

Strategy for Firerealm
General strategy: Fire has a mix of portable and trackable mobs, plus stabbers. Mobs have lavabombs, so it'd be cool to collect those. Have caster portal to mob, have psi-type en portal and immediately quicken cast deception twice, watch for folks being tagged and left behind by an aggro. Then when nothing is portable, track them.
You are looking for this mob:
A large magma mephit flirts dangerously close to the lava. (mag mephit)
The mobs are portable in the main fire proper, but mephits can also be in Elemental Area of Firerealm

Strategy for Stone
You are looking for this mob:
An elemental soldier saunters about, looking for trouble. (rock soldier)
Some of the soldiers are portable in Stone Proper, but they can wander into cursed areas.

Strategy for Water
You are looking for this mob:
A Huge Water Elemental floats here as if guarding something. (elemental)
All of the mobs are in a single column (up / down) in water plane. You just have to walk there and go up and down.
