Welcome to the AvatarWiki.

The first key to getting around this site quickly is to learn how to use the search box, which is located to your left below the navigation frame. Let's say you came here for a very specific purpose: you want to know how to get the Fatewalkers. All you have to do is type in "fatewalkers" in the search box, hit go, and it should come right up. The search box is also handy for more complex tasks. Let's say you really need an item that will give you water breathing. Once again, type "water breathing" into the search box, hit go, and all the articles containing that term should pop up.

Unfortunately, the one type of page that the search box will not return are categories, and we use categories very extensively here at the AvatarWiki. So lets say you're interested in a more general type of item, like tank gear for characters between 21 and 30. Searching for "30 tank gear" or something similar won't help. So, in this case, where you're looking for a category, you have two options. One is to search for an item that you know is in that category. Searching for "rough band of tin" will bring up that item's page, and then from there you can view all the categories that that item belongs to. Alternatively, you can use the navigation links off of the main page. This involves a bit more clicking than using the search box, but it's a good way to get around if you can't think of any better shortcuts.

Of course, if you find a section of the Wiki that is really useful to you, you can always bookmark it. Finally, if you're bored, take a look at the information we've begun to gather under the Miscellaneous section. You might see something there that interests you that you wouldn't have even thought to search for. Anyways, that's about it. I hope you enjoy using this site.
