Embed

Some characters have the ability to embed particular gemstones into objects. If the right combination of gemstones is embedded into the right item, then a player can attempt to manifest that item into something more powerful. Please note that etched items cannot have gems added.

Prerequisite(s): Gem Lore, Weapon Lore.

Syntax: embed <perfect-gemstone> <object>.

Embedding can fail. If you fail to embed you lose 10% of your practiced ability in this skill. It's a good idea to practice embed to adept if you fail an attempt. This way you minimize your chances of shattering a perfect gemstone. Legend warriors have a skill that makes them virtually nofail, but in general the same rules apply to embedding as for sharpening. In addition, DO NOT save with an item with embedded gems before you manifest, or the gems will be lost.
