An illusory shield is a projected image of the caster. Enemies can be tricked into attacking the illusion instead of the psion, although the disguise only works for a single hit.
Prerequisite(s): Displacement.
Syntax: cast 'illusory shield'.

Unlike most, this spell may be cast during combat.
This spell has been updated as per this note from Daeron (Jan 23, 2024):
Are you a Mindbender or Psionicist? Do you like to throw mobs off with your illusory shields? Yeah, me too! As you grow in power, you will find that you can maintain more shields. Make sure you put them to good use.
At lord 1 a psi will get 2 shields. Presumably this number goes up at some point.
