Some objects affect any characters who wear them with certain skills and/or spells until they are removed. These objects are categorized below.

Wearing objects so as to be affected by certain spells can have advantages over possible methods such as casting spells or quaffing potions, as (1) nothing needs to be practiced and no mana needs to be used, (2) nothing needs to be consumed and (perhaps) replaced, and (3) such affects have no fixed duration and may be easily added or removed at will simply by wearing or removing whichever object produces them. Doing this can also have certain disadvantages, however, as (1) these objects may prevent other desired gear from being worn and (2), unlike spells, objects take up some inventory space and may become lost or damaged over time.
