This field shows how many gold coins a character has stored in a bank; gemstones are automatically converted into gold coins when deposited and from gold coins when withdrawn.

Characters may either deposit or withdraw money, either as gold in hand or as gemstones, at any room that is flagged as a bank; banking may also be done remotely for a fee via demonbank.

Unlike gold in hand, gold stored in a bank can not be pilfered by thieving mobs and will not add weight to a character's inventory; however, it is not as readily available as gold in hand while buying things.

Characters may view their gold in bank using their score command.
