This piece of gear is nicely enchantable (no longer true), if you do it right you can get b12-6 or better lemans equivalents... At around level 35-40 or so.
The same goes for Tattered Kite Shield, but those aren't as easy to obtain in large quantities.
Whenever Cyrtpea repops, her merchandise will be of a different level. A higher level pearl will have a higher base ac. So if you're aiming for lots of enchants for a hero level piece, kill her until she sells pearls at level 15, the only level at which the pearls (occasionally) pop with base 5.
