Altlist

(in order of importance)

Play alts

Alt Race Class Tier Comment
WinterRose Dragon Mage Hero Permahero main alt / quest character.
FlutterWing Sprite Fusilier Hero Permahero.
Cobbles Golem Berserker Hero Permahero.
Maeva Sprite Mage Hero A Mage 800 project.
Canggar Dwarf Warrior Lord A Warrior 800 project.

I focus on spellcasters. They give more freedom when exploring, adventuring, collecting/creating gear etc. While I don't necessarily abhor tanking per se, it's not really my cup of tea - I don't have the patience for it.

Utility alts

Alt Race Class Tier Comment
Teacup Gnome Cleric Lord SpellBOT / harmonize service.
DarkSong High Drow Wizard Lord Illuminate/christen/rune service.
Thunderstone Dwarf Warrior Hero Durr sharpenBOT.
Orkenskin Orc Archer Hero Durr fletching/skin/bark service.
Psistorm Lizard Man Psionicist Hero Transmute/steel service.
Lidda Halfling Rogue Hero Pick that lockbox! service.
Blanch Gargoyle Mage Lowmort 27 Semiretarded (int 10) mage for cheap and easy fading.

I got my bases covered with these utility alts, and in order to get clensing I'll have to invest some serious effort. Later perhaps. Much later.

Locker alts

Alt Race Class Tier Comment
Weraxai Drow Warrior Hero my first alt, with no DCs, no leveling gear.. a mess. Now is a locker.

I don't have that many alts, which I prefer - I play what I like and don't bother with much else. Some people like having 50 different alts, probably since they like diversity. I like having a single alt that's best for a single function.

Gear Listing

Gear Listing.

It's nothing to write home about, as I only invested a week or two of foddering and enchanting in my entire career.

Contributions

I've done a lot of work on exploring and mapping Eragora, so (all of) the Eragoran maps are from my workshop:

Akrikto's Farm Map,
Eragora Walkways Map,
Exploration Outpost Map,
Halfling's Paradise Map,
Healing Springs Map,
Moonbay Village Map,
Mountain Tunnels Map,
Quarries and Mines Map,
Rhuien Forest Map,
Sphynx Gate Map,
Sun God Altar Map

I used WinterRose, back when she was 500+ Liz Mag to map the continent and enjoyed myself tons while at it. If I could do it, anyone can.

As for my other work, I did some mapping of the newish (post Dave Garber to be precise) lowmort areas:

Airways Map,
Cathracharraig Map,
Diplomatic Corps Map,
Hospice Refugee Camp Map,
Ofcol Refugee Camp Map,
Tiureess Map

And finally some hero areas as well:

Abishai's Pass Map,
Aculeata Jatha-La Map,
Alpha Thule Map,
Battleground Map,
Cavern Of The Fates Map,
Dragon Crypt Map,
Fortress Of Kra Map,
Frozen Wastes Map,
Game Map,
Graves Of Reveria Map,
Hall Of Justice Map,
Hunting Map,
Isle Of NaamBres'Shho Map,
Lair Of Shyu'Yao Map,
Lake Of Tears Map,
Necromancer's Tower Map,
Necropolis Map,
Red Dragon's Lair Map,
Ruined Lair 1 Of 5 Map,
Ruined Lair 2 Of 5 Map,
Ruined Lair 3 Of 5 Map,
Ruined Lair 4 Of 5 Map,
Ruined Lair 5 Of 5 Map,
Saint Of The Blade Temple Map,
Serpent Weyr Map,
Stormkeep Map,
Summoning Map,
Tainted Isle Map,
Tortuga Cay Map,
Tssasskkas's Lair Map,
Typhus Map

With over 40 maps, and a serious deficit of non-mapped lowmort/hero areas, I've put mapping on the back-burner (nothing left to map!) and have decided to focus on remaining unsolved quests as well as the regular, foddering stuff. The boring parts. Here and there I redraw an obsolete map, but this is not common as most are still good.

However, once new stuff rolls in, the plan is to continue exploring and map what remains undiscovered and hopefully profit greatly by vast riches that surely lay uncovered!

Eragora work

Eragora.banner.jpg

It's no secret I'm in love with Eragora. It's also no secret that Eragora can be a hellish place and is considered by some to be end-game, 800+ hero zone.

This is false. The place can be as enjoyable as any even for 101 mages, since easy areas do exist and provide ample opportunity to obtain both xp and excellent gear, even for small adventurers.

In order to both endear and to generally familiarize the players with Eragora (an increasingly difficult effort, I'm afraid), and also to alleviate the psychologically troublesome concepts of running botless, with no safety net of "c tele sanc" - I have written the Eragora Survivalist Guide. Read it if you are interested in Eragora at all.

The wiki pages on Eragora and all the sub-areas, as well as the Eragora Self-Sufficiency Gauge should provide ample info on how not to die, and in what areas death is of no concern whatsoever.

And all of this is just a beginning, naturally. The wiki is frail. You need more Eragora info? For heaven's sake, don't hesitate, just ask me.

Guild / Buddyset

Some time ago, I have started my own guild, the Surveyors and Mappers Guild, or the SMG for short.

The guild motto is simple - Explore and Experience the World, as opposed to "grind the same areas for xp over and over again for years and be incapable of running at all in the wee hours after reboot due to a lack of spellbots."

We are a small buddyset of less than 10 dwindling players, mostly mappers, builders, explorers and wiki contributors We don't run together for xp and barely see each other, but still manage to exchange new quest info, interesting notes and such. If you want to join, to explore the old and new never-run areas, find new quests, items, and experiences, map the said areas and dare to go where others do not, then just say so.

To join the guild there is but a single requirement - have an alt that has one or more of the exploration insignia. No, the DC quests do not count.

Personal

I'm a 30+ year old network engineer and sysadmin, married, have wife and two kids, and consider playing Avatar a superior experience to any other game online. Text-based descriptions have no equivalent competitor in graphical games since there is no graphics that will ever beat my imagination.
